Cwm Yr Afon is situated in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. Known to the locals as Eryri, it's Wales largest National Park with a landscape steeped in culture, history and heritage. A photographers dream, choose from beautiful sunsets, wild goats, rugged mountains, waterfalls & shimmering lakes. The crown jewel of the park is Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales and just 45 minutes away from our cottages.
For the more adventurous Zip over the quarry on the world's fastest zip line, or step back in time on the world famous Ffestiniog Railway. The choice is yours!
DARK SKY RESERVE
Our holiday cottage is the perfect destination for stargazers looking to experience the wonders of our Dark Skies. Located in a rural countryside, the skies are clear and the stars are bright! Based in Snowdonia National Park International Dark Sky Reserve with minimal light pollution, visitors can enjoy the night sky, free from distraction and delight in the sight of thousands of stars, distant planets, and the Milky Way. From our cottage, you can experience the true beauty of the night sky and make amazing memories that will last a lifetime.
